1. Calculation principles
Each calculator defines its required inputs, formula or simulation logic, output values, validation rules and interpretation limits before implementation. Standard arithmetic is performed in the browser using JavaScript.
2. Input data
Unless a calculator explicitly states otherwise, Aequimetra does not supply live market data. The user is responsible for entering prices, earnings, dividends, cash flows, growth rates and other inputs. Results therefore depend on the accuracy, timing and definitions of the data entered.
3. Rounding and display
Calculations may use greater internal precision than the value displayed on screen. Currency and ratio outputs are rounded for readability. Small differences can occur compared with spreadsheets or external tools that use different rounding conventions.
4. Not meaningful states
Some financial ratios are conventionally not meaningful when a denominator is zero or when the underlying economics make the ratio difficult to interpret. Aequimetra uses states such as N/M (not meaningful) or an explanatory warning rather than forcing a numeric answer.
5. Forecast and valuation models
Forward P/E, PEG, intrinsic-value and DCF calculations depend on estimates. DCF results in particular can change materially with small changes in growth rates, discount rates, terminal assumptions, debt or share counts. These outputs are scenarios, not predictions.
6. Dividend simulations
Dividend reinvestment and DRIP calculators use the assumptions shown on the relevant page. Actual share prices, dividend declarations, taxes, reinvestment timing, fractional-share rules and fees can differ.
7. Quality assurance
Calculator development follows four review layers: structure and dependencies; formula and edge-case logic; UI/UX, mobile and SEO; and final regression/deployment completeness. This process reduces errors but cannot guarantee that every result will be error-free or suitable for a particular decision.
8. Corrections
If a material formula or explanatory issue is identified, the calculator may be corrected or clarified. Material methodology changes should be reflected in the relevant page content.
